24-year old producer, VHOOR, is one of Brazil’s brightest talents to take the international stage. Hailing from the city of Belo Horizonte, VHOOR has been able to build a loyal fanbase both in Brazil and overseas, mixing global electronic music with Brazilian and Afro-Latino rhythms..

VHOOR’s work with American producer Sango, for their 2019 EP “Acima” helped introduce VHOOR’s talents to a global audience, while the two worked together for Sango’s more recent projects, including his album “Da Rocinha 4” and his EP “Sangozinho.” VHOOR’s music is frequently played on Soulection Radio (Apple Music 1), KCRW (Los Angeles), KEXP (Seattle), BBC1Xtra, BBC Radio6, WWFM, NTS, Bandcamp Weekly and others. His album releases have also been covered by international media outlets including The Guardian, Complex, AfroPUNK, Okayplayer, Bandcamp, DJ Mag, and Rolling Stone.

In Brazil, VHOOR is one of today’s go-to producers, working with some of Brazil’s brightest talents in the Hip Hop, Electronic, and Baile Funk realm. His latest album “BAILE” with Brazilian rapper FBC, helped modernize Miami Bass and Freestyle production and was widely featured on various Best Albums of 2021 lists. The album was applauded by Brazilian media and the single “Se Ta Solteira” went viral on TikTok and Instagram Reels, resulting in over 26 million plays on Spotify, while charting on several national and global charts on Spotify.

VHOOR continues to push the boundaries of electronic music production, importing international genres and incorporating them with Brazilian Baile Funk and other lesser known Brazilian rhythms. His solo instrumental albums (Ritmo, Baile & Vibes, Baile & Sauce, etc), and his work as part of the collective Weird Baile (alongside producers Mu540 and JLZ), have expanded the conversation on the potential of Brazilian electronic music.

“Baile & Bass” is an album with the intent on merging Miami Bass with contemporary production techniques, using dense textures, dissonant harmonies and moving bass. The album also helps re-establish Miami Bass's roots as a foundation to modern day Brazilian Baile Funk.
